- the ClientHunter Pro website;
- the ClientHunter Pro web application;
- ClientHunter Pro Accounts;
- free trials;
- paid Subscriptions;
- Promotional Access Codes;
- searches;
- Leads;
- saved Leads and folders;
- dashboards;
- customer support;
- communications;
- payments;
- security and fraud prevention; and
- related services and functionality.
ClientHunter Pro is an Australian-operated technology service designed principally for freelancers, sole professionals, contractors and other users seeking potential clients and commercial opportunities.
This Privacy Policy is intended to be read consistently with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) ("Privacy Act") and the Australian Privacy Principles ("APPs"), to the extent they apply to ClientHunter Pro.
The APPs establish requirements concerning matters including:
- open and transparent management of personal information;
- anonymity and pseudonymity;
- collection;
- unsolicited information;
- collection notices;
- use and disclosure;
- direct marketing;
- cross-border disclosure;
- government-related identifiers;
- information quality;
- security;
- access; and
- correction.
ClientHunter Pro intends this Privacy Policy to address those requirements comprehensively and to remain applicable as ClientHunter Pro's technology, AI providers, search providers, infrastructure and features evolve.
The OAIC identifies these 13 principles as the APP framework.
If there is any inconsistency between this Privacy Policy and a mandatory requirement of Applicable Law, the mandatory legal requirement prevails.
2. IMPORTANT PRIVACY INFORMATION
ClientHunter Pro operates an AI-assisted lead-generation service.
As part of providing that service, ClientHunter Pro may process personal information that:
- Users provide directly to ClientHunter Pro;
- is generated through User interaction with ClientHunter Pro;
- is obtained from publicly accessible websites;
- appears in public business or professional listings;
- appears in job advertisements or service requests;
- is returned through third-party search functionality;
- is processed by artificial-intelligence systems;
- is contained in Lead Data; or
- is supplied by third-party service providers.
This means ClientHunter Pro may process personal information about people who are not ClientHunter Pro Users.
For example, a publicly available business listing, job advertisement, professional profile or service request may contain a person's:
- name;
- business name;
- job title;
- professional role;
- business contact details;
- email address;
- telephone number;
- location;
- publicly stated requirements;
- professional biography; or
- other information published by or about that person.
The fact that information is publicly accessible does not mean that all possible uses of that information are unrestricted.
ClientHunter Pro therefore applies privacy controls to the handling of public-web personal information and expects Users to use Lead Data lawfully and responsibly.
3. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
The individual or legally established entity actually operating ClientHunter Pro is responsible for the handling of personal information described in this Privacy Policy, subject to the application of the Privacy Act and other Applicable Law.
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, that entity is referred to as "ClientHunter Pro".
ClientHunter Pro's registered legal entity name, ABN and formal contact details should be read together with the legal/business information displayed on the ClientHunter Pro website and Account interface.
ClientHunter Pro does not use this Privacy Policy to create a separate legal entity.
4. SCOPE
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information handled by ClientHunter Pro in connection with the Service.
It applies to information concerning:
- Users;
- prospective Users;
- Account holders;
- trial users;
- Subscribers;
- promotional-access users;
- customer-support contacts;
- business contacts;
- persons appearing in Leads;
- persons identified through public web information; and
- other individuals whose personal information ClientHunter Pro lawfully handles in connection with the Service.
This Privacy Policy does not necessarily apply to a Third-Party Platform's handling of information on its own service.
Third parties, including search engines, AI providers, payment providers and websites from which Lead Data originates, may have their own privacy policies.
5. WHAT IS PERSONAL INFORMATION?
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, "personal information" has the meaning given to that term by the Privacy Act.
Generally, personal information is information or an opinion about an identified individual or an individual who is reasonably identifiable, whether the information or opinion is recorded in a material form or not. Information can become personal information depending on the circumstances and the ability to identify an individual.
ClientHunter Pro may therefore treat certain public-web information as personal information even where it was originally published publicly.
6. TYPES OF PERSONAL INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT AND HOLD
Depending on how you use ClientHunter Pro, we may collect and hold the following categories of information.

When a Lead is identified or saved, ClientHunter Pro may store Lead Data including:
- Lead title;

- source URL;
- description;
- location;

- Opportunity Score;
- relevance information;
- date or time information;
- publicly available business information;
- publicly available professional information;
- publicly listed email address;
- publicly listed telephone number; and
- other information associated with the Lead.
Lead Data may relate to an individual, business, organisation or other entity.
Where Lead Data relates to an identifiable individual, it may constitute personal information.
8. PUBLICLY AVAILABLE AND THIRD-PARTY PERSONAL INFORMATION
8.1 Public web information
ClientHunter Pro may process information made publicly available on the internet.
This can include information appearing on:

- Facebook;
- Seek;
- Indeed;
- Jora;
- CareerOne;

This list is not exhaustive.
ClientHunter Pro may add, remove or replace sources.
8.3 Source relationship
ClientHunter Pro generally does not control the privacy practices of those third-party websites.
A person whose information appears on a Third-Party Platform may have separate rights against that platform concerning the original collection and publication of their information.
8.4 Public does not mean unrestricted
ClientHunter Pro does not represent that because information is publicly accessible it can lawfully be used for every conceivable purpose.
ClientHunter Pro processes public information for legitimate purposes connected with operating the Service, subject to Applicable Law.
Users remain responsible for their own subsequent use of Lead Data.
9. HOW CLIENTHUNTER COLLECTS PERSONAL INFORMATION
ClientHunter Pro may collect personal information through:
- Account registration;

- AI and search providers;
- publicly accessible websites;
- third-party integrations;
- fraud-prevention services; and
- other lawful sources.
10. COLLECTION DIRECTLY FROM YOU
Where reasonably practicable, ClientHunter Pro will collect personal information directly from you.
This may occur when you:

- purchase a Subscription;
- redeem a Promotional Access Code;
- communicate with ClientHunter Pro; or

11. COLLECTION FROM THIRD PARTIES AND PUBLIC SOURCES
ClientHunter Pro may collect personal information from third parties or public sources where lawful and reasonably necessary for the Service.
This can include:
- publicly accessible websites;
- Third-Party Platforms;
- search providers;
- AI providers;
- payment providers;
- authentication providers;
- infrastructure providers;
- fraud-prevention providers;
- service providers; and
- other lawful sources.
Where ClientHunter Pro collects personal information from a source other than the individual, the circumstances may make it impracticable to provide a traditional collection notice directly to every person appearing in a public Lead.
ClientHunter Pro will nevertheless handle such information consistently with Applicable Law and this Privacy Policy.
12. WHY WE COLLECT, HOLD, USE AND DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION
ClientHunter Pro may collect, hold, use and disclose personal information for purposes including:
- providing the Service;
- creating and administering Accounts;
- authenticating Users;
- processing searches;
- identifying potentially relevant Leads;

- operating infrastructure;
- maintaining records;
- conducting security investigations;
- undertaking business restructuring or transactions; and
- other purposes reasonably necessary to provide, secure or administer the Service.
ClientHunter Pro will not use personal information for an unrelated purpose merely because the information is technically available to it.
13. PRIMARY AND SECONDARY PURPOSES
Where required by the Privacy Act, ClientHunter Pro will handle personal information consistently with the primary purpose for which it was collected and any applicable exception permitting secondary use or disclosure.
Secondary purposes may include purposes that an individual would reasonably expect in connection with:
- security;
- fraud prevention;
- service administration;
- customer support;
- legal compliance;
- dispute management;
- system maintenance;
- analytics;
- service improvement;
- account management; and
- related technology operations.
14. AI AND AUTOMATED PROCESSING
14.1 AI is integral to the Service
ClientHunter Pro uses artificial-intelligence and automated technologies to support the Service.
This may include:
- search interpretation;
- web-search assistance;
- result retrieval;
- information summarisation;
- classification;
- relevance assessment;
- Lead prioritisation;
- Opportunity Scoring;
- ranking;
- duplicate detection;
- information extraction; and
- other related processing.
15. OPENAI AND AI PROVIDER PROCESSING
ClientHunter Pro may use OpenAI's Responses API and associated web-search functionality, including models such as OpenAI AI models or successor/replacement models or technologies, to support searches and AI-assisted processing.
The particular model, endpoint, tool or provider may change.
ClientHunter Pro may provide an AI Provider with information necessary to perform the relevant Service function. Depending on the functionality being used, this may include:
- search terms;
- role;
- profession;
- job type;
- city;
- location;
- search parameters;
- relevant search context;
- publicly available web information;
- Lead Data; and
- other information reasonably necessary to perform the requested AI-assisted function.
ClientHunter Pro seeks to minimise unnecessary transmission of personal information to AI providers.
16. AI DOES NOT MEAN THAT CLIENTHUNTER GIVES UP CONTROL OF THE SERVICE
The use of a third-party AI Provider does not mean that the AI Provider becomes the operator of ClientHunter Pro.
ClientHunter Pro determines:
- whether AI technology is used;
- how it is integrated;
- what functionality it performs;
- what information is submitted where reasonably practicable;
- how AI results are incorporated into the Service; and
- how the resulting information is presented to Users.
The technical architecture may change as AI technology develops.
17. AI ACCURACY AND PERSONAL INFORMATION QUALITY
AI systems can produce incorrect, incomplete or misleading information.
Accordingly:
- AI-generated information may not be accurate;
- AI-generated summaries may omit information;
- an individual may be incorrectly associated with a Lead;
- information may be attributed to the wrong source;
- contact details may be incorrect;
- information may be stale;
- duplicate information may appear;
- an automated score may be inappropriate; and
- AI output may contain errors.
ClientHunter Pro will take reasonable steps appropriate to its role and the circumstances to maintain the quality of personal information it holds.
However, ClientHunter Pro does not represent that third-party source information or AI-generated information will always be accurate.
18. AUTOMATED DECISION-MAKING AND AI LEAD SCORING
18.1 Transparency
ClientHunter Pro uses automated algorithmic and AI-assisted processing to evaluate, score, classify and rank Lead relevance based on search parameters and information available to the Service.
This may include automated assessment of factors such as:
- match to the requested role;
- match to job type;
- geographic relevance;
- apparent fit with the search;
- information contained in the listing;
- apparent commercial relevance;
- source information;
- recency indicators; and
- other signals available to the system.
The Opportunity Score currently considers Skill Match, Recency, Requesting Provider and Contact Method Available. The precise scoring methodology may change over time.
19. PURPOSE AND EFFECT OF LEAD SCORING
Opportunity Scoring is intended principally to help a User identify potentially relevant commercial opportunities more efficiently.
The Opportunity Score is not a determination of a person's worth, creditworthiness, employability, eligibility for government assistance, entitlement to healthcare, entitlement to housing, access to education or another similarly significant legal or social entitlement.
ClientHunter Pro's Opportunity Scoring is generally an information-organising and search-assistance function for the User.
A score should not be interpreted as:
- a guarantee of quality;
- a recommendation to transact;
- a statement that a person is trustworthy;
- a statement that a person is suitable;
- a statement that a job is genuine;
- a statement that a business is financially sound; or
- a determination of a person's rights or entitlements.
20. APP 1.7–1.9 AUTOMATED DECISION TRANSPARENCY
From 10 December 2026, APP 1.7–1.9 introduces specific privacy-policy transparency requirements for qualifying automated decisions involving personal information and decisions that could reasonably be expected to significantly affect an individual's rights or interests.
ClientHunter Pro has adopted the following disclosure on a forward-looking basis.
20.1 Kinds of personal information that may be used
Where personal information about an individual is used in an automated process relevant to a qualifying decision or action, the categories may include:
- name;
- business or organisation name;
- professional role;
- job title;
- location;
- publicly listed contact details;
- professional profile information;
- information contained in a job listing or service request;
- information about the nature of a commercial opportunity;
- source information;
- publicly available business information;
- information derived from public web content; and
- technical or contextual information reasonably necessary for the relevant automated process.
ClientHunter Pro does not intentionally use sensitive information for Opportunity Scoring unless such information is lawfully processed and reasonably necessary for a particular Service function.
21. KINDS OF AUTOMATED OUTCOMES
ClientHunter Pro may use automated systems to:
- identify potentially relevant Leads;
- rank Leads;
- assign Opportunity Scores;
- classify search results;
- identify potentially relevant content;
- summarise information;
- identify apparent relationships between search criteria and web results;
- organise results; and
- determine which results are presented or prioritised to a User.
The automated output may influence what information a User sees first.
22. AUTOMATED PROCESSING IS NOT A SOLE DETERMINATION OF AN INDIVIDUAL'S RIGHTS
ClientHunter Pro does not intend its Lead-ranking functionality to make decisions that determine an individual's legal rights or entitlements.
In particular, ClientHunter Pro does not use Opportunity Scoring to determine:
- whether an individual receives employment from ClientHunter Pro;
- whether an individual receives government benefits;
- whether an individual receives credit from ClientHunter Pro;
- whether an individual receives housing from ClientHunter Pro;
- whether an individual receives healthcare from ClientHunter Pro; or
- another person's statutory entitlement.
The Service primarily assists the User in identifying and organising potential commercial opportunities.
Where an automated output could nevertheless have a significant effect on an individual in a particular implementation, ClientHunter Pro will assess and address the applicable legal obligations.
23. HUMAN REVIEW AND CHALLENGE
AI-generated information is not necessarily reviewed by a human before being displayed.
Where an individual believes that ClientHunter Pro holds materially incorrect personal information about them, they may contact ClientHunter Pro and request correction in accordance with this Privacy Policy and APP 13.
Where legally applicable, an individual may also request information about how ClientHunter Pro has handled their personal information.
ClientHunter Pro may need to distinguish between:
- information actually held by ClientHunter Pro;
- information originating from a third party;
- AI-generated inferences;
- opinions;
- search results; and
- information that ClientHunter Pro does not control.
24. COMMERCIAL-IN-CONFIDENCE AI INFORMATION
ClientHunter Pro will not disclose proprietary AI prompts, system instructions, confidential algorithms, security controls or commercially sensitive implementation details merely because an individual requests information about automated processing.
This does not prevent ClientHunter Pro from providing meaningful information required by Applicable Law about the nature and operation of relevant automated processing.
25. SHARED SEARCH CACHE
25.1 Purpose
ClientHunter Pro may maintain a shared search cache to reduce:
- duplicated AI requests;
- unnecessary infrastructure use;
- search latency;
- operating costs; and
- system load.
25.2 Retention period
A search result may be retained in the shared cache for up to 24 hours.
25.3 Reuse between Users
Where substantially identical or sufficiently similar searches are conducted, ClientHunter Pro may provide a cached search result to another User.
That result may contain Lead Data derived from publicly accessible sources.
25.4 Information that may appear in the cache
Cached information may include:
- Lead titles;
- descriptions;
- source URLs;
- locations;
- job types;
- public business information;
- public professional information;
- publicly listed contact details;
- AI-generated summaries;
- Opportunity Scores; and
- other search-result information.
25.5 Private Account information
ClientHunter Pro does not intend to place a User's private Account information into the shared search cache.
The shared cache is not intended to contain:
- passwords;
- authentication credentials;
- private billing information;
- private folders;
- private dashboard information;
- private support correspondence; or
- other private Account information unrelated to the public/search result.
26. WHY SHARING CACHED PUBLIC SEARCH RESULTS IS NECESSARY
The shared-cache mechanism is used to make the Service commercially and technically viable by avoiding unnecessary repeated requests for substantially identical searches.
This can:
- reduce processing;
- reduce third-party AI usage;
- reduce costs;
- improve response times;
- reduce infrastructure load; and
- improve Service availability.
The cache does not constitute a public database of Users' private Account information.
27. APPLE IN-APP PURCHASES AND PAYMENT INFORMATION
ClientHunter Pro relies on Apple's native In-App Purchase architecture for subscriptions purchased via the Apple App Store, and Stripe or other payment gateways for web-based transactions. Complete payment-card numbers, security codes, or banking credentials are collected and processed directly by those secure payment systems under their own privacy policies. ClientHunter Pro only receives and retains limited transaction metadata (such as payment status, reference IDs, subscription tier, and expiry dates) necessary to manage your account and comply with accounting laws.
28. SUPABASE AND INFRASTRUCTURE
ClientHunter Pro uses Supabase infrastructure for backend functionality and data storage.
Depending on the Service functionality and technical configuration, Supabase infrastructure may store or process information including:
- Account information;
- search parameters;
- job type;
- location;
- search history or usage data;
- Subscription/payment reference information;
- Promotional Access Code information;
- saved Leads;
- Lead Data;
- folders;
- dashboard information;
- technical identifiers;
- security information; and
- other information required to operate the Service.
The exact data architecture may change as ClientHunter Pro develops.
29. INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING AND CROSS-BORDER DISCLOSURES
29.1 International infrastructure
ClientHunter Pro may use cloud infrastructure and service providers located outside Australia.
This may include processing through infrastructure in the United States and other countries where ClientHunter Pro's technology providers operate.
29.2 AI processing
Search requests and other information submitted to an AI Provider may be processed using international cloud infrastructure.
OpenAI's infrastructure and processing arrangements may involve countries outside Australia, including the United States.
29.3 Supabase and other providers
Supabase and other infrastructure providers may operate or process information through data centres or service infrastructure located outside Australia.
The applicable location may depend on:
- provider configuration;
- data-region availability;
- technical architecture;
- disaster recovery;
- redundancy;
- provider changes; and
- the Service configuration at the relevant time.
29.4 Stripe
Payment information may be processed internationally by Stripe or another payment provider.
29.5 APP 8
Where ClientHunter Pro discloses personal information to an overseas recipient, ClientHunter Pro will take such steps as are reasonable in the circumstances to address the requirements of APP 8, subject to applicable exceptions.
Australian privacy law can make an APP entity accountable for certain overseas recipients' handling of personal information.
30. LIKELY OVERSEAS RECIPIENT LOCATIONS
Depending on the services used and their configuration, personal information may be disclosed to or processed by recipients located in:
- Australia;
- the United States;
- other countries in which ClientHunter Pro's technology providers or their relevant infrastructure operate.
ClientHunter Pro will update this Privacy Policy where changes to its practices make a material update necessary.
Where practicable and required by APP 1, ClientHunter Pro will identify relevant overseas countries in this Privacy Policy.
31. WHO WE MAY DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION TO
ClientHunter Pro may disclose personal information, where reasonably necessary and lawful, to:
- Users;
- AI providers;
- web-search providers;
- Supabase;
- Stripe;
- cloud infrastructure providers;
- authentication providers;
- security providers;
- fraud-prevention providers;
- communications providers;
- customer-support providers;
- professional advisers;
- accountants;
- lawyers;
- auditors;
- insurers;
- regulators;
- courts;
- law-enforcement agencies;
- government authorities;
- prospective purchasers or investors;
- entities involved in a corporate transaction; and
- other service providers necessary to operate the Service.
32. DISCLOSURE TO OTHER CLIENTHUNTER USERS
ClientHunter Pro does not ordinarily disclose one User's private Account information to another User.
However, the Service may display public or publicly sourced Lead Data to Users because this is fundamental to the lead-generation function.
A Lead may therefore be viewed by multiple Users where:
- the information originated publicly;
- the information is returned through the search system; or
- the information is present in the shared search cache.
This may include public contact information.
ClientHunter Pro does not represent that a public listing will be shown exclusively to the first User who discovers it.
33. DISCLOSURE FOR LEGAL AND SECURITY PURPOSES
ClientHunter Pro may disclose personal information where reasonably necessary to:
- comply with a court order;
- comply with a lawful request;
- comply with legislation;
- protect Users;
- investigate fraud;
- investigate cyber incidents;
- prevent abuse;
- protect ClientHunter Pro's rights;
- establish or defend legal claims;

- protect the safety or security of persons or systems.
34. BUSINESS TRANSFERS
If ClientHunter Pro undergoes:
- a merger;
- acquisition;
- sale;
- restructuring;
- financing;
- transfer of assets;
- transfer of the Service; or
- similar transaction,
personal information may be disclosed to the relevant parties where reasonably necessary for that transaction and subject to Applicable Law.
The receiving entity may be required to comply with applicable privacy obligations.
35. DIRECT MARKETING
ClientHunter Pro may send direct marketing communications where permitted by Applicable Law.
Marketing may include information about:
- ClientHunter Pro;
- new features;
- plans;
- promotions;
- special offers;
- related services; or
- partner opportunities.
ClientHunter Pro will provide an appropriate unsubscribe mechanism where required.
Unsubscribing from marketing does not necessarily unsubscribe a User from essential service communications such as:
- security alerts;
- billing notices;
- Account notices;
- legal notices;
- transactional communications; or
- important Service announcements.
36. SPAM AND USER COMMUNICATIONS
ClientHunter Pro may provide contact information appearing in public Leads.
This does not mean ClientHunter Pro authorises the User to send unlawful communications.
Users are responsible for complying with Applicable Law concerning communications, including where relevant:
- the Spam Act 2003 (Cth);
- privacy laws;
- telemarketing laws;
- consumer law;
- anti-harassment laws; and
- Third-Party Platform rules.
ClientHunter Pro may restrict Accounts where a User appears to be abusing Lead Data for unlawful communications.
37. SENSITIVE INFORMATION
ClientHunter Pro does not intentionally seek to collect sensitive information about individuals through ordinary Lead-generation searches.
However, public web content may contain sensitive information unintentionally.
If ClientHunter Pro receives unsolicited sensitive information and Applicable Law requires it to be dealt with in a particular way, ClientHunter Pro will assess the information and take reasonable steps consistent with the Privacy Act.
Users must not intentionally submit sensitive information to ClientHunter Pro unless it is reasonably necessary and lawful to do so.
38. GOVERNMENT-RELATED IDENTIFIERS
ClientHunter Pro does not ordinarily require government-related identifiers such as:
- Medicare numbers;
- driver's licence numbers;
- tax file numbers; or
- passport numbers
for ordinary use of the Service.
Users should not submit government identifiers through search fields, Lead notes or other Service functionality unless expressly required for a lawful purpose.
ClientHunter Pro will handle government-related identifiers consistently with APP 9 and Applicable Law.
39. ANONYMITY AND PSEUDONYMITY
ClientHunter Pro will consider whether it is practicable to permit anonymity or pseudonymity where required by APP 2.
However, anonymous or pseudonymous use may not be practicable where ClientHunter Pro needs to:
- create an Account;
- process payment;
- prevent fraud;
- maintain security;
- enforce usage limits;
- comply with law;
- provide a personalised Subscription; or
- provide another function requiring identification.
Where identification is reasonably necessary for the relevant activity, ClientHunter Pro may require identification.
40. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
ClientHunter Pro may use cookies, local storage, pixels, device identifiers or similar technologies where reasonably necessary for:
- authentication;
- Account security;
- session management;
- preferences;
- functionality;
- performance;
- analytics;
- fraud prevention; or
- Service improvement.
The exact technologies used may change.
Where a technology collects personal information, ClientHunter Pro will handle that information in accordance with Applicable Law.
Where consent is legally required for a particular technology or use, ClientHunter Pro will seek that consent.
41. TECHNICAL AND LOG INFORMATION
When you use the Service, ClientHunter Pro may collect technical information such as:
- IP address;
- browser type;
- operating system;
- device information;
- session information;
- timestamps;
- authentication events;
- request information;

- approximate location derived from technical information where applicable; and
- other technical information necessary to operate and secure the Service.
This information may be used for:

- maintain fair access.
Usage information may include:
- number of searches;
- timestamps;
- request frequency;
- Account identifiers;
- search parameters;
- API usage;
- technical identifiers; and
- other relevant metadata.
43. DATA QUALITY
ClientHunter Pro will take reasonable steps, having regard to the circumstances, to ensure that personal information it collects, uses or discloses is accurate, up-to-date and complete where reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.
This obligation is affected by the nature of the Service.
ClientHunter Pro may receive information from:
- third-party websites;
- AI systems;
- search providers;
- Users; and
- other third parties.
ClientHunter Pro cannot guarantee the accuracy of information originating from those sources.
Where ClientHunter Pro becomes aware that information is materially inaccurate, it may:
- correct it;
- update it;
- annotate it;
- remove it;
- cease using it; or
- request further information.
44. CORRECTION OF PUBLIC LEAD INFORMATION
If you believe that ClientHunter Pro displays incorrect personal information about you, you may contact ClientHunter Pro.
ClientHunter Pro may ask you to provide enough information to identify:
- the relevant Lead;
- the relevant URL;
- the information alleged to be incorrect; and
- the requested correction.
Where appropriate, ClientHunter Pro may direct the individual to the original source where the information originates from a Third-Party Platform.
ClientHunter Pro cannot guarantee that correcting information in ClientHunter Pro's systems will cause the originating Third-Party Platform to change its information.
45. ACCESS TO PERSONAL INFORMATION
Subject to the Privacy Act and other Applicable Law, an individual may request access to personal information that ClientHunter Pro holds about them.
Requests should provide sufficient information to enable ClientHunter Pro to:
- identify the requester;
- identify the relevant information;
- understand the nature of the request; and
- assess whether any legal exception applies.
ClientHunter Pro may need to verify identity before providing access.
ClientHunter Pro will generally provide access in the manner required by Applicable Law.
46. ACCESS EXCEPTIONS
ClientHunter Pro may refuse or limit access where permitted or required by Applicable Law.
This may include circumstances involving:
- legal privilege;
- unreasonable impact on another person's privacy;
- legal proceedings;
- security;
- fraud;
- unlawful activity;
- another exception under the Privacy Act; or
- another applicable law.
Where ClientHunter Pro refuses access, it will provide reasons where required by law.
47. CORRECTION REQUESTS
An individual may request correction of personal information ClientHunter Pro holds about them where the information is inaccurate, out-of-date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading, as applicable under the Privacy Act.
ClientHunter Pro will take reasonable steps to correct information where required.
Where ClientHunter Pro relies upon a third-party source, it may need to consider:
- the original source;
- available evidence;
- whether ClientHunter Pro independently holds the information;
- whether the information is an opinion or inference;
- whether correction is technically possible; and
- whether another lawful basis exists for retaining the information.
48. DELETION REQUESTS
An individual may request deletion or removal of personal information.
Deletion is not an absolute right under every circumstance.
ClientHunter Pro may retain information where it is reasonably necessary or legally required for:
- providing the Service;
- legal compliance;
- security;
- fraud prevention;
- dispute resolution;
- establishing or defending legal claims;
- accounting;
- taxation;
- regulatory requirements;
- contractual obligations;
- backup integrity; or
- another lawful purpose.
Where personal information originates from a Third-Party Platform, ClientHunter Pro may not be able to delete the information from that Third-Party Platform.
49. OBJECTIONS TO PUBLIC LEAD INFORMATION
An individual who believes their personal information has been used in ClientHunter Pro inappropriately may contact ClientHunter Pro.
ClientHunter Pro will assess the request based on:
- Applicable Law;
- the source of the information;
- the nature of the information;
- the purpose for which it is being used;
- whether the information remains publicly available;
- whether the individual can reasonably be identified;
- whether the information is necessary for the Service;
- whether an exception applies; and
- other relevant circumstances.
ClientHunter Pro may remove, correct, restrict or otherwise address information where appropriate.
50. DATA RETENTION
ClientHunter Pro retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it is handled, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.
Retention periods vary depending on the type and purpose of the information.
Factors may include:
- Account status;
- Subscription status;
- legal obligations;
- tax obligations;
- dispute periods;
- security requirements;
- fraud prevention;
- backup cycles;
- operational necessity;
- contractual requirements; and
- whether information is still required.
51. LEAD CACHE RETENTION
Shared search-cache information is intended to be retained for no longer than 24 hours in the shared cache.
This does not necessarily mean that the same Lead information is deleted from all ClientHunter Pro systems after 24 hours.
For example, a User may intentionally save a Lead to their Account.
Saved Lead information may therefore remain subject to the ordinary retention rules applicable to Account information.
52. ACCOUNT DELETION AND RETENTION
When a User initiates account deletion through the app's Profile section or via support, ClientHunter Pro will promptly remove or de-identify active Account information, saved Leads, and folders. We may nevertheless retain specific transaction, tax, or security metadata where necessary for legitimate compliance purposes, accounting laws, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or backup integrity, strictly in accordance with our legal obligations.
53. BACKUPS
Information may remain temporarily within backup systems after deletion from active systems.
Backups may be retained for disaster recovery and security purposes.
ClientHunter Pro will not ordinarily restore deleted personal information to active systems except where reasonably necessary for:
- disaster recovery;
- legal compliance;
- security;
- investigation;
- dispute resolution; or
- another legitimate operational purpose.
54. SECURITY OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
ClientHunter Pro takes reasonable steps appropriate to the circumstances to protect personal information from:
- misuse;
- interference;
- loss;
- unauthorised access;
- unauthorised modification; and
- unauthorised disclosure.
Security measures may include:
- authentication controls;
- access controls;
- encryption where appropriate;
- secure cloud infrastructure;
- logging;
- monitoring;
- rate limiting;
- abuse prevention;
- credential protections;
- provider security controls;
- backups; and
- operational security procedures.
No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
55. EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS AND SERVICE PROVIDERS
Access to personal information is restricted to persons and service providers who reasonably require access for legitimate business, technical, security, legal or operational purposes.
ClientHunter Pro may use contractors and service providers to assist with:
- development;
- infrastructure;
- customer support;
- security;
- accounting;
- legal services;
- payment processing;
- communications;
- analytics;
- AI processing; and
- other Service functions.
ClientHunter Pro seeks to impose appropriate confidentiality and data-handling obligations on relevant providers where reasonable and appropriate.
56. DATA BREACHES
ClientHunter Pro maintains procedures for responding to suspected privacy and security incidents.
Where ClientHunter Pro becomes aware of a suspected data breach, it may:
- contain the incident;
- assess what information may be affected;
- investigate the cause;
- assess potential harm;
- determine whether notification obligations arise;
- notify affected individuals where legally required;
- notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner where legally required;
- take remedial measures; and
- implement measures intended to prevent recurrence.
The Notifiable Data Breaches scheme may require notification where an eligible data breach is likely to result in serious harm.
57. PRIVACY IMPACT ASSESSMENT AND GOVERNANCE
ClientHunter Pro may undertake privacy risk assessments when introducing or materially changing:
- AI functionality;
- automated processing;
- search functionality;
- public-data processing;
- new data sources;
- international providers;
- major infrastructure;
- analytics;
- payment systems; or
- other technology involving personal information.
ClientHunter Pro may maintain internal privacy procedures, access controls and data-handling practices designed to support compliance with the APPs.
58. CHILDREN
ClientHunter Pro is not designed specifically for children.
ClientHunter Pro generally requires Users to be at least 18 years old unless expressly permitted otherwise.
ClientHunter Pro does not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children for whom the Service is not intended.
If ClientHunter Pro becomes aware that it has collected personal information in circumstances where collection was inappropriate or unlawful, it will assess the information and take appropriate steps.
59. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES AND LINKS
ClientHunter Pro may contain links to Third-Party Platforms.
Once you leave ClientHunter Pro, the third party's privacy practices apply.
ClientHunter Pro is not responsible for:
- third-party privacy policies;
- third-party security;
- third-party cookies;
- third-party data collection;
- third-party retention; or
- third-party use of information.
Users should review the privacy policy of a Third-Party Platform before providing information to it.
60. THIRD-PARTY AI PROVIDER TERMS
AI Providers may maintain their own privacy documentation and contractual terms.
ClientHunter Pro's use of an AI Provider does not make ClientHunter Pro responsible for privacy practices outside ClientHunter Pro's control.
ClientHunter Pro will select and configure third-party AI services with regard to its legal, privacy, security and operational requirements.
Because third-party providers may change their services, ClientHunter Pro may replace an AI Provider with another provider offering substantially equivalent functionality.
61. SEARCH SOURCES MAY CHANGE
ClientHunter Pro does not guarantee continued access to any particular Third-Party Platform.
A source may:
- change its website;
- change its API;
- change its terms;
- restrict automated access;
- remove public information;
- add authentication;
- block search engines;
- remove a listing;
- change its privacy practices; or
- cease operating.
ClientHunter Pro may consequently change, remove or replace search sources.
62. USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION BY CLIENTHUNTER USERS
A User receiving Lead Data is independently responsible for their subsequent use of that information.
Users must not use Lead Data unlawfully.
In particular, Users must consider:
- privacy law;
- direct-marketing requirements;
- the Spam Act;
- telemarketing requirements;
- anti-discrimination law;
- harassment laws;
- Third-Party Platform terms;
- intellectual-property rights; and
- any other Applicable Law.
ClientHunter Pro does not authorise unlawful use merely by displaying Lead Data.
63. NO SALE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
ClientHunter Pro does not operate its Service on the basis of selling personal information as a standalone data-broker product.
ClientHunter Pro may nevertheless disclose personal information to service providers and third parties as described in this Privacy Policy where necessary to operate the Service or for another lawful purpose.
ClientHunter Pro may also transfer relevant business assets, including personal information, in connection with a lawful corporate transaction.
64. SENSITIVE COMMERCIAL INFORMATION AND CONFIDENTIALITY
Personal information provided privately by a User may be processed by third-party technology providers where necessary to provide the Service.
Users should consider the sensitivity of information before entering it into any third-party-powered feature.
ClientHunter Pro does not guarantee that information submitted to a third-party-powered feature will remain exclusively within ClientHunter Pro's own infrastructure.
65. PRIVACY BY DESIGN
ClientHunter Pro aims to apply privacy-by-design principles appropriate to the Service, including where reasonably practicable:
- data minimisation;
- purpose limitation;
- access controls;
- security controls;
- limited retention;
- separation of private Account information from shared search results;
- appropriate provider controls;
- monitoring; and
- review of new data-processing functionality.
The technical implementation may evolve.
66. DATA LOCATION AND ARCHITECTURE MAY CHANGE
Cloud infrastructure, AI providers, payment processors and other technology providers may change their:
- infrastructure;
- data centres;
- processing locations;
- subcontractors;
- APIs;
- security controls;
- retention arrangements; or
- technical architecture.
ClientHunter Pro may make such changes where reasonably necessary to operate, secure or improve the Service and will update this Privacy Policy where required by Applicable Law.
67. HOW WE HANDLE UNSOLICITED PERSONAL INFORMATION
If ClientHunter Pro receives personal information that it did not solicit, it will assess whether the Privacy Act requires the information to be:
- retained;
- destroyed;
- de-identified; or
- otherwise handled in a particular manner.
Where legally required and reasonably practicable, ClientHunter Pro will take appropriate action.
68. GOVERNMENT REQUESTS AND LAW ENFORCEMENT
ClientHunter Pro may disclose personal information where required or authorised by:
- legislation;
- court order;
- warrant;
- regulatory requirement;
- lawful government request; or
- another lawful authority.
Where legally permitted, ClientHunter Pro may consider whether notice should be provided to the affected individual.
ClientHunter Pro will not necessarily be able to provide notice where doing so would:
- breach law;
- prejudice an investigation;
- create a security risk; or
- otherwise be prohibited.
69. CORPORATE TRANSACTIONS
If ClientHunter Pro is sold, merged, reorganised or transferred, personal information may form part of the assets or operational information transferred to the successor entity.
ClientHunter Pro will take reasonable steps to ensure that such transfers are handled consistently with Applicable Law.
70. PRIVACY COMPLAINTS
If you believe ClientHunter Pro has mishandled your personal information, you should first contact ClientHunter Pro.
A privacy complaint may concern:
- collection;
- use;
- disclosure;
- security;
- access;
- correction;
- AI processing;
- automated processing;
- public-web information;
- international processing;
- direct marketing; or
- another privacy matter.
ClientHunter Pro will investigate complaints and provide a response within a reasonable period, having regard to the nature and complexity of the complaint.
As a general operational target, ClientHunter Pro aims to acknowledge privacy complaints promptly and respond within 30 days, where reasonably practicable.
This target does not limit any statutory timeframe or right.
71. HOW TO MAKE A PRIVACY COMPLAINT
Privacy complaints may be sent to clienthunterpro@outlook.com.
A complaint should contain sufficient information to allow ClientHunter Pro to investigate, including where possible:
- your name;
- contact details;
- the nature of the complaint;
- relevant Account details, if applicable;
- relevant Lead or URL;
- relevant dates;
- the information concerned; and
- the outcome you are seeking.
Complaints should be submitted through ClientHunter Pro's published privacy/support contact mechanism.
72. EXTERNAL PRIVACY COMPLAINTS
If you are dissatisfied with ClientHunter Pro's response, or ClientHunter Pro does not respond within a reasonable period, you may have the right to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
The OAIC generally expects an individual to complain to the organisation first and allow a reasonable opportunity for the organisation to respond. The OAIC indicates that 30 days is generally a reasonable period.
Nothing in this Privacy Policy prevents an individual from exercising their statutory rights.
73. ACCESS AND CORRECTION CONTACT
Requests for access or correction should be made through ClientHunter Pro's published privacy/support contact mechanism.
ClientHunter Pro may require reasonable evidence of identity before processing an access or correction request.
This is intended to protect individuals against unauthorised disclosure of personal information.
74. IDENTITY VERIFICATION
Where necessary, ClientHunter Pro may request reasonable information to verify identity before:
- providing personal information;
- changing Account details;
- deleting information;
- processing a privacy request; or
- taking another action that could affect an individual's information.
ClientHunter Pro will seek to avoid collecting unnecessary identification information.
75. PRIVACY REQUESTS CONCERNING OTHER PEOPLE
You may not ordinarily request access to another individual's personal information merely because it appears in ClientHunter Pro.
An access request concerning another individual may require:
- the individual's authority;
- proof of authority;
- a valid legal basis; or
- another Applicable Law permitting access.
76. PRIVACY AND LEAD REMOVAL REQUESTS
Where a person contacts ClientHunter Pro because their information appears in a Lead, ClientHunter Pro may ask them to identify the relevant information and source.
Depending on the circumstances, ClientHunter Pro may:
- correct the information;
- remove it from ClientHunter Pro's active systems;
- restrict its processing;
- prevent it from being retained in the shared cache;
- annotate the information;
- cease displaying it;
- refer the person to the original source; or
- explain why ClientHunter Pro is legally permitted to retain or use it.
The appropriate response depends on Applicable Law and the circumstances of the information.
77. PRIVACY POLICY AVAILABILITY
This Privacy Policy is made available free of charge through ClientHunter Pro's website or Service.
A person may request a copy in another form where required by APP 1.
The OAIC's APP guidance confirms that an APP entity must have a clearly expressed and up-to-date privacy policy and make it available free of charge.
78. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
ClientHunter Pro Pro may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in law, regulatory guidance, AI technology, Service functionality, data practices, third-party providers, infrastructure, security requirements or business operations.
The updated version will be published through the Service or its website. Where required by law, ClientHunter Pro Pro will provide additional notice or obtain consent.
The Last Updated date at the beginning of this Privacy Policy will be changed when material amendments are made.
79. PRIVACY POLICY REVIEW
ClientHunter Pro intends to periodically review this Privacy Policy to ensure that it remains consistent with:
- actual information flows;
- technical architecture;
- AI processing;
- third-party providers;
- international processing;
- retention practices;
- applicable law; and
- regulatory guidance.
This includes reviewing automated decision-making disclosures as AI functionality evolves.
The OAIC recommends that APP privacy policies be regularly reviewed and kept up to date with actual information-handling practices.
80. AUSTRALIAN PRIVACY PRINCIPLE ALIGNMENT
This Privacy Policy is intended to address ClientHunter Pro's obligations under the 13 APPs as follows.
APP 1 — Open and transparent management
ClientHunter Pro maintains this Privacy Policy to explain its personal-information practices, including collection, use, disclosure, access, correction, overseas processing and complaints.
The Policy also contains the additional automated-decision transparency information relevant to ClientHunter Pro's AI and algorithmic functionality.
APP 2 — Anonymity and pseudonymity
ClientHunter Pro will consider anonymity or pseudonymity where practicable, subject to the exceptions described above.
APP 3 — Collection of solicited personal information
ClientHunter Pro collects personal information only where reasonably necessary for its functions and activities and will take into account applicable requirements concerning sensitive information.
APP 4 — Dealing with unsolicited personal information
ClientHunter Pro will assess unsolicited personal information and take the action required by Applicable Law.
APP 5 — Notification of collection
Where personal information is collected directly from an individual, ClientHunter Pro will provide appropriate information about collection through this Privacy Policy, collection notices, interfaces or other reasonable means.
Where information is collected from third parties or public sources, ClientHunter Pro will comply with applicable requirements subject to relevant exceptions.
APP 6 — Use and disclosure
ClientHunter Pro uses and discloses personal information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and otherwise in accordance with Applicable Law.
APP 7 — Direct marketing
ClientHunter Pro may undertake direct marketing only where permitted by Applicable Law and will provide required opt-out mechanisms.
APP 8 — Cross-border disclosure
ClientHunter Pro may use international service providers and will address applicable APP 8 requirements.
APP 9 — Government-related identifiers
ClientHunter Pro does not ordinarily collect government-related identifiers and will handle them consistently with APP 9 where encountered.
APP 10 — Quality
ClientHunter Pro takes reasonable steps appropriate to the circumstances to maintain the quality of personal information it holds.
APP 11 — Security
ClientHunter Pro takes reasonable steps appropriate to the circumstances to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
APP 12 — Access
Individuals may request access to personal information ClientHunter Pro holds about them, subject to applicable exceptions.
APP 13 — Correction
Individuals may request correction of personal information that is inaccurate, out-of-date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading, subject to Applicable Law.
81. AI-SPECIFIC PRIVACY PRINCIPLES
Because AI is integral to ClientHunter Pro, ClientHunter Pro additionally aims to apply the following principles to AI-enabled processing:
81.1 Purpose limitation
AI processing should be used for legitimate ClientHunter Pro functions and not for unrelated purposes merely because technically possible.
81.2 Data minimisation
ClientHunter Pro seeks to provide AI systems with only information reasonably necessary for the relevant functionality.
81.3 Human accountability
ClientHunter Pro remains responsible for determining how AI functionality is integrated into the Service.
81.4 Accuracy
AI-generated information is treated as potentially fallible and should not automatically be treated as fact.
81.5 Security
AI integrations are subject to reasonable security and access controls appropriate to the circumstances.
81.6 Transparency
ClientHunter Pro will provide meaningful information about material AI and automated-processing practices where required by Applicable Law.
81.7 Provider oversight
ClientHunter Pro may assess relevant third-party AI providers and their privacy and security arrangements as appropriate to the risks associated with the Service.
82. AI MODEL AND PROVIDER CHANGES
ClientHunter Pro may replace or supplement AI providers or models, including:
- OpenAI models;
- web-search tools;
- AI APIs;
- search providers;
- classification models;
- ranking systems; or
- equivalent technologies.
A change may occur because of:
- improved accuracy;
- security;
- performance;
- availability;
- cost;
- legal requirements;
- provider changes;
- technological development; or
- other legitimate operational reasons.
ClientHunter Pro will update this Privacy Policy where a change materially affects the information-handling practices described here and an update is required.
83. AI TRAINING AND MODEL DEVELOPMENT
ClientHunter Pro does not represent that information submitted to a third-party AI Provider is used exclusively within ClientHunter Pro's infrastructure.
Whether information is retained or used by an AI Provider for provider-specific purposes depends on:
- the applicable provider;
- the applicable contractual arrangement;
- the API or service used;
- provider configuration; and
- provider policies.
ClientHunter Pro will seek to use appropriate commercial/API arrangements and configurations for the Service. The precise terms applying to an AI Provider may change over time.
ClientHunter Pro will not intentionally represent that a provider does not retain or use information unless ClientHunter Pro has a reasonable basis for making that representation.
84. DATA PROCESSING BY SERVICE PROVIDERS
ClientHunter Pro may permit service providers to process personal information on its behalf.
Such providers may include:
- cloud infrastructure providers;
- AI providers;
- payment providers;
- authentication providers;
- security providers;
- analytics providers;
- communications providers;
- customer-support providers; and
- professional advisers.
ClientHunter Pro seeks to ensure that relevant contractual and technical arrangements are appropriate to the nature and sensitivity of the information being processed.
85. INFORMATION SECURITY LIMITATION
Although ClientHunter Pro takes reasonable security measures, no system connected to the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
ClientHunter Pro therefore cannot guarantee that personal information will never be:
- accessed without authorisation;
- lost;
- disclosed;
- altered;
- destroyed; or
- otherwise compromised.
This does not limit ClientHunter Pro's obligations under Applicable Law.
86. NO ABSOLUTE PRIVACY GUARANTEE
ClientHunter Pro cannot guarantee absolute privacy or security.
The internet, cloud infrastructure, AI systems, Third-Party Platforms and other technologies involve inherent risks.
ClientHunter Pro's objective is to manage those risks through reasonable technical, organisational and contractual measures appropriate to the circumstances.
87. PRIVACY OF BUSINESS INFORMATION
Information relating to a business, company or organisation may not itself constitute personal information.
However, information about an identifiable individual associated with that business may constitute personal information.
ClientHunter Pro therefore assesses information based on its legal character rather than merely whether it appears in a business context.
88. PROFESSIONAL INFORMATION
Professional information may constitute personal information.
Examples include:
- a freelancer's name;
- a consultant's profile;
- a tradesperson's business contact details;
- a driver's professional profile;
- a teacher's public professional information;
- a developer's profile;
- a photographer's public business details; or - a person's publicly listed professional email address.
ClientHunter Pro may process such information where reasonably necessary for its Service and otherwise lawful.
89. PUBLIC CONTACT DETAILS
A publicly listed email address or telephone number may be included in Lead Data where identified through the Service.
ClientHunter Pro does not guarantee that:
- the number remains active;
- the person owns the number;
- the person wishes to receive contact;
- the email address remains current; or
- use of the contact detail is permitted for a particular purpose.
Users are responsible for complying with Applicable Law when using contact information.
90. DATA PROVENANCE
Where reasonably available, ClientHunter Pro may retain or display information about the source of Lead Data, including:
- source name;
- URL;
- source type; and
- other source metadata.
This assists Users and individuals in understanding where information originated.
Source information may change or become unavailable.
91. INFORMATION GENERATED BY INFERENCE
Some information displayed by ClientHunter Pro may be:
- generated;
- summarised;
- classified;
- ranked;
- inferred; or
- otherwise derived
from source information rather than directly copied from a source.
ClientHunter Pro will not necessarily be able to identify every individual transformation made by an AI system. Where an individual disputes an AI-generated inference about them, ClientHunter Pro may assess whether the information is:
- personal information;
- an opinion;
- an automated inference;
- source information;
- materially inaccurate; or
- information that should be removed or corrected.
92. DE-IDENTIFICATION AND AGGREGATION
ClientHunter Pro may use de-identified, aggregated or statistical information for purposes such as:
- service improvement;
- security;
- capacity planning;
- analytics;
- performance monitoring; and
- business planning.
Where information is genuinely de-identified so that it is no longer personal information under Applicable Law, this Privacy Policy may no longer apply to that information.
93. ACCOUNT SECURITY COMMUNICATIONS
ClientHunter Pro may contact Users regarding:
- suspicious activity;
- Account security;
- password changes;
- unusual access;
- payment security;
- suspected fraud;
- data breaches;
- legal requirements; or
- other security matters.
These communications may be sent even if a User has opted out of marketing communications.
94. SUPPORT COMMUNICATIONS
When you contact ClientHunter Pro support, ClientHunter Pro may collect and retain:
- your contact details;
- Account information;
- correspondence;
- screenshots;
- technical information;
- issue descriptions;
- troubleshooting information; and
- other information necessary to resolve the matter.
Support information may be shared with technical service providers where reasonably necessary to provide support.
95. PAYMENT DISPUTES
If a User disputes a payment, ClientHunter Pro may process relevant information necessary to:
- investigate the dispute;
- communicate with the payment provider;
- establish transaction history;
- prevent fraud;
- comply with financial recordkeeping requirements; and
- resolve the dispute.
96. FRAUD AND ABUSE PREVENTION
ClientHunter Pro may use personal and technical information to detect:
- duplicate Accounts;
- fraudulent trials;
- Promotional Access Code abuse;
- payment fraud;
- Account takeover;
- automated abuse;
- search-limit circumvention;
- malicious activity;
- suspicious behaviour; and
- other misuse.
Automated tools may assist with fraud and security monitoring.
Where a decision could significantly affect an individual and the relevant legal requirements apply, ClientHunter Pro will consider its APP 1.7–1.9 obligations.
97. INTERNATIONAL SERVICE PROVIDER CONTINUITY
ClientHunter Pro may select infrastructure based on:
- security;
- reliability;
- performance;
- availability;
- geographic redundancy;
- cost;
- provider capabilities; and
- legal requirements.
As a result, the country in which personal information is processed may change.
ClientHunter Pro will maintain this Privacy Policy to the extent necessary to accurately describe material international processing practices.
98. NO CONTRACTUAL GUARANTEE OF A PARTICULAR PROVIDER
References to OpenAI, Supabase, Stripe or another provider in this Privacy Policy describe the providers used or contemplated at the time of publication.
They do not create a contractual guarantee that ClientHunter Pro will continue using a particular provider indefinitely.
A provider may be replaced by a substantially equivalent provider.
99. INTERACTION WITH CLIENTHUNTER TERMS OF SERVICE
This Privacy Policy forms part of the ClientHunter Pro contractual framework where stated in the Terms of Service.
However, privacy rights arising under the Privacy Act and other Applicable Law apply independently of contractual acceptance.
Nothing in the ClientHunter Pro Terms of Service is intended to reduce a statutory privacy right.
100. JURISDICTION
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Australia and, to the extent applicable to the operation of ClientHunter Pro, the laws of Queensland.
Mandatory privacy rights and jurisdictional protections under Applicable Law are not excluded.
101. CONTACTING CLIENTHUNTER ABOUT PRIVACY
Privacy enquiries, access requests, correction requests, complaints and requests concerning public Lead information may be made through the privacy/contact mechanism published by ClientHunter Pro.
When contacting ClientHunter Pro, providing sufficient information to identify the relevant Account, Lead or information will assist with processing the request.
102. PRIVACY REQUEST PROCESS
ClientHunter Pro may generally follow the following process:
- receive the request;
- acknowledge the request where appropriate;
- verify identity where necessary;
- identify the relevant information;
- determine whether ClientHunter Pro holds the information;
- assess applicable legal obligations and exceptions;
- consult relevant service providers where necessary;
- assess the requested action;
- provide access, correction, removal or another appropriate response where required; and
- provide reasons where a request is refused or limited and reasons are required by law.
103. REASONABLE STEPS AND PROPORTIONALITY
ClientHunter Pro's privacy controls are intended to be reasonable and proportionate to:
- the nature of the information;
- the scale of the Service;
- the likelihood and severity of potential harm;
- technological feasibility;
- the purposes of processing;
- the cost and practicality of controls;
- security risks;
- legal obligations; and
- the evolving nature of AI technology.
ClientHunter Pro will periodically reassess its privacy practices as the Service grows.
104. FUTURE-PROOFING
ClientHunter Pro operates in a rapidly changing technological environment.
The Service may evolve to use:
- new AI models;
- new search providers;
- new cloud providers;
- new databases;
- new security systems;
- new analytics tools;
- new payment technologies;
- new authentication methods;
- new automated processing; and
- new forms of data.
ClientHunter Pro intends this Privacy Policy to apply to successor technologies performing substantially equivalent functions.
Where a new technology materially changes ClientHunter Pro's handling of personal information, ClientHunter Pro will update this Privacy Policy where required by Applicable Law.
105. MATERIAL AI CHANGE
If ClientHunter Pro introduces a new AI capability that materially changes:
- the categories of personal information processed;
- the purpose of processing;
- the disclosure of personal information;
- international processing;
- automated decision-making;
- significant effects on individuals; or
- another material privacy risk,
ClientHunter Pro will assess whether this Privacy Policy, its collection notices, consent mechanisms, contractual arrangements or internal privacy controls need to be updated.
106. REGULATORY CHANGE
This Privacy Policy is intended to operate dynamically with changes to Australian privacy law.
If legislation, regulations, regulatory guidance, APP codes or other binding requirements change, ClientHunter Pro may update this Privacy Policy and its information-handling practices to reflect the new requirements.
Where the law requires a particular process, that process will prevail over any inconsistent provision of this Privacy Policy.
107. PRIVACY BY DEFAULT
Where reasonably practicable, ClientHunter Pro aims to avoid collecting or retaining personal information that is not reasonably necessary for the relevant Service function.
ClientHunter Pro may nevertheless process information incidentally contained in public web results or third-party content where that processing is reasonably necessary, lawful and proportionate.
108. NO PROMISE OF COMPLETE SOURCE REMOVAL
If a person requests removal of information from ClientHunter Pro, ClientHunter Pro may remove information from:
- active search results;
- saved ClientHunter Pro systems;
- the shared cache; or
- other ClientHunter Pro-controlled systems,
where legally appropriate and technically practicable.
ClientHunter Pro cannot remove information from:
- Third-Party Platforms;
- search engines;
- websites;
- public databases; or
- systems outside ClientHunter Pro's control.
Information may also reappear if a public source continues publishing it and the Service subsequently retrieves it again.
Where appropriate, ClientHunter Pro may apply suppression mechanisms to reduce recurrence.
109. SUPPRESSION AND REPROCESSING
Where technically and legally appropriate, ClientHunter Pro may maintain a limited record that a particular item of information should not be reprocessed or displayed.
Such a suppression record may itself contain personal information.
ClientHunter Pro may retain such information for as long as reasonably necessary to give effect to the suppression request and prevent repeated processing.
110. PUBLIC DATA DOES NOT CREATE A RIGHT OF EXCLUSIVITY
Because ClientHunter Pro may process public information, an individual should not assume that a request to ClientHunter Pro will cause the same information to disappear from the internet.
ClientHunter Pro's obligations concern information within ClientHunter Pro's control.
111. PRIVACY AND THIRD-PARTY PLATFORM TERMS
ClientHunter Pro respects the distinction between:
- public accessibility;
- privacy rights;
- intellectual-property rights;
- contractual platform restrictions; and
- lawful use of information.
ClientHunter Pro does not represent that a Third-Party Platform has authorised every use of its publicly accessible information.
Users are responsible for complying with applicable Third-Party Platform terms when using information obtained through ClientHunter Pro.
112. DATA MINIMISATION IN AI SEARCH
Where reasonably practicable, ClientHunter Pro seeks to avoid transmitting unnecessary User-identifying information to an AI Provider when the requested function can be performed without it.
The amount of information transmitted may vary depending on:
- the search;
- the Service feature;
- technical architecture;
- security controls;
- AI provider requirements; and
- future product development.
113. SEARCH TERMS AS PERSONAL INFORMATION
A search query may constitute personal information where it identifies or reasonably relates to an individual.
For example, a search containing an individual's:
- name;
- email address;
- telephone number;
- professional identifier; or
- other identifying information
may constitute personal information.
Users should therefore avoid entering unnecessary sensitive or identifying information into search fields.
114. PERSONAL INFORMATION OF LEADS
A person appearing as a Lead may have their information processed even though they have never:
- created a ClientHunter Pro Account;
- visited ClientHunter Pro;
- consented to ClientHunter Pro's Terms of Service; or
- directly provided information to ClientHunter Pro.
ClientHunter Pro's legal basis for handling such information depends on the circumstances and Applicable Law, including whether the information is publicly available and whether collection, use and disclosure are reasonably necessary and permitted.
115. USER RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIRD-PARTY PERSONAL INFORMATION
Users must not intentionally use ClientHunter Pro to:
- compile unlawful dossiers;
- stalk individuals;
- harass individuals;
- unlawfully discriminate;
- facilitate identity theft;
